Jerry White

 

Jerry Dean White, age 73 of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his residence. 

Services will be held at a later date. 

He is survived by his wife,  Gail White of Canton; daughter, Holli Anne White of Canton; daughter, Buffi White (Bron) Stanley of Jasper;  brother, Bill White of Covington; grandchildren, Karli Ann Kimsey, Briley Kimsey, Darbi Stanley and Aubri Stanley.

Margaret Stancil 

1930-2020 

Margaret Ann Stancil, 89, a life long resident of Cherokee County, GA and one of the oldest citizens of Ball Ground, Ga departed this life on Wednesday April 29 at Northside Cherokee Hospital after a courageous battle with the Covid19 virus. Mrs. Stancil was born May 26, 1930 in Canton. Ga to the late Auburn J. Fletcher and Mattie Baldwin Fletcher (1919 Spanish Flu survivor). Mrs. Stancil was the widow of the late Roy N. Stancil, a prominent businessman in Ball Ground and Cherokee County, Ga. She was a longtime member of Conns Creek Baptist Church and she also attended church at many denominations throughout her life. Mrs. Stancil was a retiree of Wal-Mart and after her retirement she traveled extensively visiting all 50 states and most of Europe. An avid canasta player, she participated with a well known Canton group that continues to play to this day. Mrs. Stancil is survived by her son Anthony (Tony) N. Stancil and his wife of Canton, GA., grandsons Kyle Stancil of Atlanta, GA and Kirby Stancil of Athens, GA. Step-son Roy Max Stancil(Annette) of Bent Tree, GA, Step Grandson Steve (Cristal) Stancil and Step Granddaughter Lisa Stancil Smith (Ronnie) both of Canton, Ga, Sisters Martha Jane Wehunt and Willie Grace Bannister of Ball Ground, GA, special niece Rebecca Bannister of Ball Ground, GA. Also surviving are four step great grandchildren and eight step great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive along with many loving friends she met along her wonderful journey in this life. Interment next to her husband, Roy N. Stancil, in the Mica Baptist Church will follow after a graveside service officiated by Rev Jody Stancil (step great grandson) and Rev Kenny Sutton. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to the church of your choice or the Mica Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Ball Ground, Ga.

Timothy Boothe

Timothy Shane Boothe, 29, of Ellijay, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020.  He was born December 1, 1990 to Tim and Cindy Boothe in Jasper. 

He is survived by his mother and father, Tim and Cindy Boothe of Ellijay; brothers, Dustin Boothe of Marble Hill, Kegan Boothe of Ellijay, Joseph Boothe of Ellijay; grandmothers, Bunia Lathem of Cumming and Eunice Chumley of Ellijay.  Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Due to COVID-19, no services will be held at this time.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Sheila Bozeman

August 3, 1953 - May 2, 2020

Mrs. Sheila Bozeman, 66, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Bozeman is survived by her husband, Hugh Bozeman of Jasper; daughter, Tabitha West of Jasper; father, William Childers of Jasper; daughter-in-law, Marie Cochran of Laurel, MS; brother and sister-in-law, Kennie and Janet Childers of Ball Ground; sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte Arnold and Billy Fitzgerald of Jasper; Gayle and Arnold Payne of Jasper; brother-in-law, Tommy Heath of Fayetteville, NC; sister-in-law and husband, Jan and David Free of Jasper; grandchildren, Will Cochran and Caroline Cochran, both of Mississippi; several nieces and nephews.

Sheila was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Childers; son, Jeremy Cochran and sister, Sandra Heath.

A private graveside service will be held at Refuge Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Carter officiating.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cagle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Willie Mullinax

Willie Grace Mullinax, 90, of Jasper, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. She was born June 6, 1929 to Ira and Ola Wilkie in Marble Hill, Georgia.  

Mrs. Mullinax is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Claude Wegscheider of Atlanta; sister, Helen Densmore; brother-in-law, Don Mullinax; and caregiver, Kerry Fairbanks.  Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Mullinax.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lavonda Heintzelman

April 7, 1935 - May 3, 2020

 

Ms. Lavonda Marlene Heintzelman, 85, of Jasper, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020.

Lavonda led a full, wonderful life and has worked as a pilot, a detective, and worked with her husband in their business called Interiors by Heintzelman. She also had her own arts and crafts business. Among her many talents, she had gracious hospitality and loved entertaining people, especially on special occasions and holidays.

Ms. Heintzelman is survived by her sons, Ron Heintzelman of Davie, FL and Keith Heintzelman of Dahlonega, GA; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

Lavonda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her son, Randal.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the food banks in Pickens County.
