Arthur Coleman

 

Arthur C. Coleman, 70, of Nelson, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. He was born November 12, 1949 to Ernest and Dorothy Coleman in Canton, Georgia.

AC is survived by his wife, Gail Coleman of Nelson; daughters and sons-in-law, Edie and Joe Sanchez of Jasper, Mary and Gary Hardy of Nelson; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Andrea Coleman of Talking Rock, Hank and Kerri Coleman of Talking Rock; sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Kenneth Howell of Ball Ground; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ernest and Dorothy Coleman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Nelson Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Andrews and Reverend John Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. (146 Bethesda Church Road NE; Nelson, GA 30151)

The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Roper Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Walter Camp

 

Mr. Walter Mark Camp, 81, of Holly Springs, Ga. died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Augusta, Ga.  

Born October 26, 1938, in Pickens County, GA, he was the son of the late Roy Robert Camp and Nell Trippe Camp.  Mark served in the U.S. Air Force, 1955-1959. He made his arrangements to donate his body to the Augusta University Medical College of Georgia. No funeral services are planned.

Mark is preceded in death by brothers, Robert Neal Camp and Roy Van Camp.  Survivors include sisters, Nancy Nell Otto and husband Henry Max, Dorothy Janice Warren and husband Luby Ray; brothers, George Samuel Camp and wife Patricia, William Frank Camp and wife Dorothy and Joseph Rex Camp; many dear nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mark was a beloved brother, uncle and friend.  He will be sorely missed.

His cremated remains will be buried in the family plot at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Holly Springs, Ga. at a later date.
