Audrey Crump

 

Audrey Crump, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. 

She was survived by her sister, Elsie Cox of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Jerrie Silvers of Jasper; brother-in-law, Jim Dean of Jasper; special daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Clyde Cody of Jasper; special granddaughter, Nicole McArthur of Jasper; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with great-great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Crump was preceded in death by her husband, JT Crump; brothers and sisters, Charles Silver, Clent Silver, Goldavee Davis, James Silver and Ruby Dean; mother and father, Malva and Grady Silver.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, 2019 in the Roper Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with Reverend Harold Cantrell and Brother David Jones. Interment followed in the Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ball Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. (P.O. Box 52; Talking Rock, Georgia 30175) 

Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles McClain Sr.

July 5, 1932 - 

March 31, 2019

U.S. Veteran

 

Mr. Charles Luke McClain Sr., 86, of Bent Tree, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019. 

Mr. McClain was a native son of Marble Hill, GA. He grew up hunting and fishing the area which became a passion of his throughout his life.

Mr. McClain is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Luke Jr. & Shelly McClain of Roswell; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ricky Avery of Cumming.  Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife:, Helen Cofer McClain; sister, Betty McClain Ivy and daughter, Martha Lynn McClain Irwin. Visitation will begin at Cagle Funeral Home Friday, April 5 from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 6, from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home. 

Interment will be at the Old Tate Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.

Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the McClain family.

 

 


 

Paul Southerland

Paul Wesley Southerland, 64, of Talking Rock, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Wildwood Healthcare.  He was born March 23, 1955 to John and Grace Southerland in Jasper.

Paul is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jr. Southerland of Ellijay, Troy and Glenda Southerland of Jasper, Billy Steve Southerland of Ellijay, Wayne and Connie Southerland of Jasper, David Southerland of Ranger, Willie and Lisa Southerland of Jasper; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and William Pendley of Ball Ground, Betty and Dennis Hancock of Waleska.  Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Southerland and his sister, Sue Southerland.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., March 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Wallace Parks, and Reverend Jerry Banks officiating.  Interment followed at Long Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper.
