GBI Agent to speak to Friends of the Library



    Crime shows like CSI depict ways modern technology and forensic evidence aids investigators in solving crimes.
    Next Thursday, April 17th, GBI Special Agent Dustin Hamby will speak at the Pickens County Library, discussing several of his past cases and how his agency has been successful in solving crimes in Georgia.

    During his career Hamby has been involved in several major investigations in the north Georgia area including the Sue Ann Ray murder investigation, the Meredith Emerson murder investigation, the Kristi Cornwell murder investigation and the Jorelys Rivera murder investigation.
    SA Hamby is currently located out of the GBI’s Region Eight Field Office.  
    Hamby is a resident of the local area where he resides with his wife and two children.
    His presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 17th. The public is invited to attend the free discussion hosted by the Friends of the Pickens Library.
