Keep Pickens Beautiful saw changes in leadership for 2011 at their January board meeting. Kevin Osborne, president in 2010, passed the gavel to Mary Ann Manzel; she will serve as President in 2011. Kevin was elected to serve as KPB Executive Director, in 2011. In other changes, KPB is honored to have Diane Kinzer, teacher and long time supporter at Hill City Elementary School join our board.
Bill Wilson has accepted the office of Vice President and Shirley Soulia will serve another year as secretary – treasurer. Sharon Harp has accepted a board position for the next three years. She is in charge of recycling and Vered Kleinberger plans to stay on as a director.
The board is making plans to expand their activities in recycling, beautification and education in 2011. KPB would like to thank all of our supporters who volunteer in many different programs during the year. With the support of concerned citizens, we will be able to continue KPB programs in education, beautification, business recycling, adopt-a-road, the Green Ribbon and Thumb Awards, Earth Day activities, “Bring One for the Chipper” Christmas tree recycling and the Great American Cleanup in April.
