John Moriarty
Mr.  John Moriarty, age 25 of Jasper, Ga., passed at his residence Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Survivors include his girlfriend, JoAnn Hilton, Jasper; daughters, Arianna and Christina Moriarty, both of Jasper; brothers, Jay Moriarty, Jr., Jasper, and William Moriarty, McDonough, Ga.; and sisters, Sarah Kell, Jasper, and Jessica Moriarty, Atlanta.
A visitation was held at Cagle Funeral Home on Monday evening, April 6. Mr. Moriarty was cremated.

Tena Hamilton
Mrs. Tena Hamilton, age 53 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed at her residence Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Hamilton, Talking Rock; daughter, April Quimby, Tolono, Il.; brother, Jim Ensley, Charlotte, N.C.; and grandchildren, Kyle and Blake Quimby.
A memorial service was held Monday, April 6 at noon at Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Memorials may be made to the Hamilton family.

Elaine Jordan
Elaine Jeanette Elizabeth Jordan, age 68, passed March 31, 2009 at North Georgia Medical Center in Ellijay, Ga. She was of the Catholic faith.
Elaine was a historical author from Pine Island, Fl. and moved to Ellijay in 1989 to pursue her writing career. She wrote books named Indian Trail Trees, Chief White Path and Talking Rock, among other historical books. She also had a very well known column named Reflections, written for the Pickens County Progress. She had several awards for a lifetime of achievements in her writing career. She was born Feb. 1, 1941 to her late parents, Walter Peter Holl and Emma Elizabeth Sonnenburg.
Elaine is survived by her children and in-laws, Kelly Blohm and Craig Womer, Karen K. Blohm and Leesha ?Kat? Davis, all of Ellijay, Ga., Jennifer Buckner and Rick Adkins, Canton, Ga., and Wendie and Mike Neel, Lakeland, Fl.; grandchildren, Waylon, Jessika and David Albertson, Codie Nathaneal and Emmie Elaine Buckner, all of Ellijay, Ga., Andrew, Brandon and Cameron Neel, Lakeland, Fl.; and great-grandchild, Tyler Nicholson, Ducktown, Tn.; and extended family, Nancy Dean and Charlie Brown, both of Ellijay, Ga., and Linda Mervyn, Acworth, Ga.
A personal memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks goes out to all who have offered their condolences and help to the family. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
