Mr. Timmy Lee ?Tim? Brookshire, age 51 of Brookshire Road, Ranger, Ga., died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 at his residence.
A native of Fulton County, Mr. Brookshire was a son of the late Wallace Clay and Sally Hobgood Brookshire. He worked many years as a drywall installer. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Smith; and two brothers, James and Mack Brookshire.
Survivors include his son, Justin Wallace Brookshire, Fountain Inn, S.C.; former wife, Cathy Brookshire, Fountain Inn, S.C.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady and Debbie Brookshire, Eaton, Ga., Arvel Brookshire, Lawrenceville, Ray and Joyce Brookshire, Fairmount, Edward and Carol Brookshire and Wallace and Tammy Brookshire, all of Ranger, and Marvin and Linda Brookshire, Calhoun; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia Smallwood, Ranger, Hazel and Bobby Bailey, Doraville, and Debra and Dan Tarrant, Collinsville, Al. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 from Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church with the Rev. Hershel Pierce officiating. Music was arranged by Mrs. Fay Bentley. Pallbearers were: Richard and Michael Brookshire, Scott Tarrant, Gene Smallwood, Anthony Brookshire, Jared Bailey and Roy Pierce. Burial followed in the Fairview Church of God Cemetery in Oakman. The family did accept flowers, but request donations be made to Hazel Bailey to help with expenses.
Mrs. Helen Parks Evans, age 87 of Jasper, passed away early Monday, Sept. 13, 2010 at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Odell Evans, Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Jaci Evans and Ben and Angie Evans, all of Jasper; daughters, Melba Evans and Linda Easterwood, both of Jasper; brother, David Parks, Ellijay; and sisters, Jessie Knight and Ruthie Silvers, both of Ellijay; Five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her grandson, Ryan Evans.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 15 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Wesley and Adam Easterwood, Brian Johnson, Tyler Shackleford, Phil Blackwell and Cory Eubanks. The family did accept flowers or memorials may be made to Cagle Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
Mr. Chad Eubanks, age 35 of Midway, Ga. and formerly of Jasper, passed at St. Joseph?s Chandler Hospital in Savannah on Sunday evening, Sept. 12, 2010.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Gary and Donna Eubanks, Midway; mother and step-father, Carolyn and Bart Padgett, Jasper; grandmother, Helen Eubanks, Jasper; son, Clayton Eubanks, White, Ga.; daughter, Caitlyn Eubanks, Dahlonega; and brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Natasha Eubanks, Ellijay.
The funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Kelley officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Shane Brown, Marty Gaddis, Adam and Andy Young and Kyle and Cory Eubanks serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Ollie Mullinax, age 95 of Jasper, passed early Thursday morning, Sept. 16, 2010 at Heritage Health Care in Jasper.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Moody, Talking Rock; and sisters, Odene Sutton, Maryville, Tn., Ida Byrd Thompson, Clearwater, Fl., and Kay Woodall, Lake Station, In. Three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Segers officiating. Interment followed in Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery with Randy, Ricky, Scott, Wesley, Seth and Ronnie Kirk, Tommy Jones and Zack Thomas serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Steve Corky Martin, age 41 of Jasper, Ga., passed late Friday evening, Sept. 17, 2010 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee, Canton.
Survivors include his grandmother, Vinnie Harris Martin, Jasper; step-mother, Cheri Martin, Jasper; daughter, Brooke Riley, Jasper; brothers, Joey and Nicholas Martin, both of Jasper; sister, Jean Hancock, Jasper; and step-sisters, Angela Burgess and Dawn Fountain, both of Jasper. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his father, J.S. Martin.
The funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Nick Martin, David Cagle, Phillip Mullins, Roger Childers, Michael Hancock and Jennings Young serving as pallbearers.
Roper Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Gene Roland, age 62 of Jasper, who passed away Sept. 2, 2010 at M.D. Anderson Center in Houston, Tx.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Roland, Jasper; son, Jeff Roland, Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy Roland and Jamie Bryan, Jasper, and Jill Roland and Tracy Abercrombie, Talking Rock; grandchildren, Hailey Bryan and Roland and Chrissy Abercrombie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herbert and Sandy Roland and Don and Nancy Roland all of Jasper; sister-in-law, Ruth Roland, Jasper; and mother-in-law, Elaine Hitt, Jasper. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday from Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Revs. Wade Grant, Joey DuBois and Tim Pearson officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Olen Parker of Talking Rock, Ga. passed late Saturday evening, Sept. 18, 2010 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
Survivors include his brother, Ray Parker, Hinton Community; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Parker was cremated according to his wishes and, at present no services are scheduled. Cagle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
