Jim Wall, age 69, entered into rest on Monday, May 27, 2013.
Jim was born on December 20, 1943 in Warner Robins, Ga., and was of the Methodist faith. He was a 1961 graduate of Warner Robins High School and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1965 on the USS Forrestal. He also worked for many years for Wall Tire Service, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Glenn and Ettie Whitehead Wall; and siblings, Doris Wall Lay, John G. Wall, Douglas C. Wall, Hilda Wall Mitchell, Gene Wall, Ann Wall Stone and Jane Wall Stuart.
His memory will forever be treasured by his brother, Joe Wall, Thomasville, Ga.; sister, Susan Wall Lester, Sachse, Tx; and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with inurnment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Ga. 31201.
In loving memory of Mrs. Caroline Greiner, age 73 of Talking Rock, Ga., who entered into rest on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Ga.
Mrs. Greiner is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Grace Moss, Fayetteville, Ga., and Jo and Rick Leverette of Jasper.
The family received friends Wednesday, May 29, from 6-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 30, from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Bob Whitfield and Mickey Carver officiating. Interment followed at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga. Pallbearers were: Terry Moss, Kenneth Roberts, Charles Norton, Charles Dunn, Mickey Carver and Bob Whitfield.

Mr. Cannady is survived by his son, Troy Lee Cannady; daughter, Diane Cannady; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy Cannady, B.J. and Sandra Cannady and Alvin and Sherry Cannady, all of Jasper, Ga.
The family received friends Saturday, June 1, from 5-10 p.m., Sunday, from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until the funeral hour. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 3, at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wallace Parks and Howard Odom officiating. Interment followed at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dakota, Casey, Blake, Steve and Scott Cannady and Chris Free.
In loving memory of Mrs. Evelyn Massey Parker, age 94 of Jasper, Ga., who entered into rest on Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Heritage Health Care in Jasper.
Mrs. Parker is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Mary Sue Massey and Kenneth Massey; daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jack Collins; daughter-in-law, Paulette Massey; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Jean Jones; sister, Julia Jordan; and sister-in-law, Helen Jones, all of Jasper.

The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cory Rich officiating. Interment followed at Refuge Baptist Church. Pallbearers were: Chris, Britt and Austin Massey and Sammy, Chris and Dalton Collins.
Mr. James Joyner “Jimmy” Swain, age 69 of Big Canoe, passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
Born Feb. 29, 1944, in Plymouth, N.C., he was the son of the late Edward Joyner and Naomi Swain. Mr. Swain had last worked as Region Security Manager with the Weyerhaeuser Company. He was a member of the Jasper Lions Club and the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 29 years, Frances E. Swain, Big Canoe; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn S. and Jimmy Baker, Suwanee, Ga.. and Susan and Robert Allen, Dawsonville, Ga.; son, Michael Hassell, Big Canoe; grandchildren, Christopher, Megan and Jordan Allen, all of Dawsonville, Ga.; cousin and spouse, Naomi Shytle Roberson (Wiley), Williamston, N.C.; and sister-in-law and spouse, Priscilla Jernigan (Joe), Graceville, Fl. Other relatives also survive.
The funeral service was held at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at the First Baptist Church of Jasper with the remains placed in state at the church at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Jimmy Lewis, Rev. Rob Bruce and Mr. Joe Jernigan officiated with interment in Lake Forest Memorial Park Cemetery. The family asked members of the Jasper Lions Club to serve as honorary pallbearers.
Johnny Lee Potts
Mr. Jonny Lee Potts, age 76 of Talking Rock, Ga., died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Potts, Talking Rock; children, Deborah Sue Potts, John Robert Potts, Terry Lynn (Potts) Winn; step-daughter, Leslie Aikman; sister, Sandra May Potts; brother, James Gregory Potts; grandchildren, John Morgan Potts and Amber Cherie Rix; and great-grandchildren, Clayton, Braden, Chelsea and Bentley Rix.
The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30, from Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jasper with the Revs. Ben Mock and Butch Stout officiating. Entombment followed in Lake Forest Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1036 N Main St., Jasper, Ga. 30143, or to The Omega Hospice at 27 Maple Ridge Dr., Cartersville, Ga. 30121. Arrangements were entrusted to she staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory of Jasper.
Mrs. Teresa Lyn Gooch, age 45 of Canton, Ga., died Tuesday, May 28, at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Eric Gooch, Canton; daughters, Megan McBride, Las Vegas, Nv., Abby Gooch, Canton, and Kaitlan McBride, Acworth, Ga; mother and step-father, Patti and Fred Dobson, Marble Hill, Ga.; sister, Stephanie Harris, Douglasville, Ga.; and father, Bruce Biers, Fayetteville, Ga.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken May officiating. At her request, Mrs. Gooch was cremated following the service. The family did accept flowers or donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
