The Pickens County Community Pool is now open to the public for summer fun.
The pool located at Roper Park opened Saturday June 1st, and will be open all summer. The pool hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11a.m. to 5p.m., Sunday from noon to 6 p.m., and the pool is closed on Mondays for cleaning.

The pool fee is $3 for kids and adults. You may also buy a family pass, which costs $100 for a family of four. Pool rentals (for birthday parties and other events) are available and filling up fast. Pool rentals are $80 with rentals available for Tuesday through Sunday 7-9 p.m., and you must call in advance to reserve a rental.
When asked if they had any trouble opening the aged pool this year as they have in year’s past, Rec. Department Director Brian Jones reported it had been routine. “Just routine maintenance,” he said. “We passed our health inspection.”
There will be some interesting events happening at the pool this summer, such as the Marble Dragon Triathlon, taking place on June 15th, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
