It’s not too late to make plans to attend this years Joy House Banquet.
We will be celebrating the lives that are being changed by Christ through the ministry of the Joy House. Our theme for this year’s banquet is Set Free as we rejoice in Christ setting us free from sin and empowering us to continue to live in freedom. This year’s banquet will be on Tuesday evening, May 7, at 6:30.
We are looking forward to having one of our alumni families share their testimony as part of the evening. We also will enjoy some video testimonials from some of the teens and parents who are part of the program. Garry Barber, the director of our Counseling Center, will be sharing about the lives that are being changed through that part of our ministry. Our teens and staff will be participating in the program through song, dance and other performances. Our good friend Keith Herndon will also be back this year to auction a specially crafted wood piece as well as arrange some silent auction items from some of our local artisans and craftsmen.
We are delighted that our banquet will be hosted on the beautiful campus of SharpTop Cove, our local YoungLife Camp. Our banquet will be held in their dining hall, “The Mill.” We will have lite hors d’oeuvres available for our guests on the lawn area in front of “The Mill” beginning at 5:30. Our hope is that this will allow our guests to arrive early and fellowship while allowing us to begin the banquet program promptly at 6:30.
There is no cost for the banquet. As part of the evening’s program, our guests will have an opportunity to invest in the ministry at the Lord’s leading. If you would like to attend simply RSVP to Pam either by phone (706-253-7569) or e-mail (pam @thejoyhouse.org). We hope to see you there.
