early reports indicate the bathrooms were already destroyed by patrons who ate too much (one bite) of the restaurant's gut-busting "food"

Pinto - is that really the best you could come up with? I am betting that you have never eaten at Annie's, experienced the wonderful staff and sit around looking for tragedy to make such tasteless comments. Didn't anyone tell you "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all"? Bless your heart, is all I can say Pinto Colvig, Bless your heart.

This restaurant was a community melding pot. Folks like "Pinto" would most likely not have been in much if ever. The fare was Southern and so was the gracious atmosphere and staff. I hope they rebuild and open soon. Maybe poor 'ol Pinto Covig can come by for a heaping helping of manners and have a slice of humble pie. Again, Bless your Heart!

I'll go back at least once after they reopen, if only just to help the restaurant and its staff (who I have no doubt are wonderful people) get back on their feet. and if they improve the food when they reopen, I'll be the first to report it and I'll go back again and again. I'm glad no one was injured.
by the way, by 'melding pot' are you referring to the diverse shades of white skin and varying levels of obesity that can be found among the clientele? that's the only possible thing you could be referring to...

funny how these other comments have been ok'ed by the editor, but mine was deleted. Too close to the truth? [Editor's Note: the problem is we don't have any idea if yours, which includes serious allegations, was too close to the truth or very far from it. ]

Restaurants like ANNIE'S and THE JASPER FAMILY STEAKHOUSE are the kind of fun places to eat we have come to miss in this county. I loved eating at THE STEAKHOUSE and the view was so beautiful in their garden and Annie's is the only thing we have left that even compares. Franchise restaurants are not the same.
