Betty Sue Craig
    Betty Sue Craig, age 64 of Jasper, Ga., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home in Jasper.
    Born Tuesday, July 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Everett Carney and the late Ann Wages. She was the wife of the late Bruce Craig.
    Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie E. and Tina Craig, Talking Rock, Ga., and Danny and Jacqueline Craig, Fairmount, Ga.; and grandchildren, Tyler and Ashley Craig, Talking Rock, and Angel and Lee Chumley, Fairmount.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Roper Funeral Home Chapel located at 206 Holly Street, Jasper, with the Revs. Larry Kelly, Steve Lowe and Kris Stancil officiating.

Shirley Soulia
    Mrs. Shirley Self Soulia, age 63 of Jasper, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
    She graduated from Marietta High School and retired from the Jervis B. Webb Company. She was active in several Pickens County volunteer groups and a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church.
    Survivors include her husband, Willis Soulia, Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and George Meaders, Jasper; son, Mathew Reid, Dallas; granddaughter, Maceigh Meaders, Jasper; step-sons, Dustin Soulia, Atlanta, and Travis Soulia, Duluth; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Joyce Self, Marietta; and niece and nephew, Stephanie and Rodney Murray.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday from Jasper United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chip Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Lake Forest Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory.

Tommy Potts
    Mr. Tommy Lee Potts, age 57 of Talking Rock, Ga., died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. 
    Born Dec. 23, 1955, in Atlanta, Ga., he was the son of the late George Lamar Potts and Ruthe Belle Millholland Potts.
    Survivors include his son, Travis Potts, Cumming, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Larry Martin and LaVerne and Doug Johnston, all of Jasper; and brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Tracey Potts, Ellijay, Ga. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Arbor Hills Baptist Church Cemetery in Cherokee County.

Cora Pearson
    Mrs. Cora Lee Pearson, age 92 of Jasper, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Heritage Hospice in Marietta.
    She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
    The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Charles, Joe and Larry Padgett, Bill and Steve Eubanks and Charles Tomblin. The family did accept flowers or donations to Wounded Warriors Project; wounded

Cicero Wofford, Jr.
    Mr. Cicero Wofford Jr., age 67 of Tate, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at his residence.
    Survivors include his mother, Grace Whitfield Wofford, Tate; uncles, Mack Whitfield, Tate, and Paul Whitfield, Canton; and aunt, Jewell Fadeley, Griffin.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Von Hinton officiating. Interment followed at Sharp Top Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Richard and Horace Wofford, Danny Cantrell, James and Troy Morris and Tyler Girard.

Abby Neal
    Miss Abby Neal, age 16 of Big Canoe, passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at Scottish Rite Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
    Survivors include her father, Keith and Tonya Neal, Jasper; mother, Debbie Neal, Cumming; grandparents, Bob and Linda Neal, Big Canoe, and Jerry and Judy Williams, White Oak, Ga.; brother, Joseph Neal, Brunswick, Ga.; sisters, Ava and Ella Neal, both of Cumming; and step-brothers, Haiden and Zakaryah Bain, both of Jasper. Abby was preceded in death by her grandmother; Gail H. Williams; and great-grandparents, Myra H. and Fred H. Martin, Robert M. and Helen F. Neal, George B. and Sarah F. Harvey and Wiley and Mary Williams.
    Visitation will be at Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper on Thursday, Feb. 14, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Evangelical Church (Big Canoe) with Pastor Jeff Falkowski officiating. Interment will follow in Big Canoe Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Bob, Keith, Kevin and Seph Neal, Jerry and  Wade Williams and Walker Neal as honorary. The family will accept flowers or donations to United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. Cagle Funeral Home was honored to serve the Neal family.
