Obituaries for December 20, 2012; George Green, Ina Fisher, Wymon Morris

George Green
    Mr. George Francis Green, age 64 of Jasper, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at his residence.
    Born Jan. 2, 1948, in Santa Rosa, Ca., Mr. Green was the son of the late George Dewey  and Selma Lee Green. He last worked as a night clerk for a Seven-Eleven convenience store and was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
    Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Evans Green, Jasper; son, George Evans Green, Jasper; daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Green, Jasper; and sisters, Leanne Clanton, Salt Lake City, Ut., and Elizabeth Castillo, Tamarack, Fl.
    At his request, Mr. Green was cremated. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Pres. Harry Spooner officiating. An interment of the cremains will be on Friday, Dec. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Roper Funeral Home for Mr. Green’s final expenses.

Ina Fisher
Mrs. Ina Sue Fisher, age 82 of the Jerusalem Community, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at her residence.
    Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-Law, Ervin and Elizabeth Fisher, Ball Ground, Don Fisher, Jerusalem Community, Dan and Wanda Fisher, Talking Rock, and Rick Fisher, Ellijay;daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Walter Flowers, Jerusalem Community; brothers,  Bill, Bob, Vick and Jim Saffles, all from Tennessee; and sisters, Zula Rae Denton, Carolina Isbell, Joyce Summit and Bernice Struzinsky, all from Tennessee. Five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper with Elder Larry McLaughlin officiating. Interment  followed directly after at Salacoa Baptist Church Cemetery in Waleska, Ga.  Pallbearers were: Johnny, Douglas and Ben Fisher, Michael and Cody Smith and Walter Flowers.

Wymon Morris
    Mr. Wymon Morris, age 74 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 8, 2012, at his home.
    He is survived by his wife, Damie Morris, Talking Rock; daughter, Cathy Morris, Royalton, Il.; son, Junior Morris, Talking Rock; and grandson, Andrew Morris, Royalton, Il. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Revs. Robert Allen, Carl Owenby and Mike Byess officiating. Interment followed in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
