ATLANTA – Mega Millions has sailed past $100 million with Friday’s jackpot drawing at an estimated $105 million to a single annuity winner.
The Mega Millions jackpot has grown since July 31 and has rolled 11 times.
One Georgia Lottery player won $30,000 in Tuesday’s drawing. The lucky ticket was purchased at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
It only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
Mega Millions offers two jackpot payment options: approximately $4 million a year for 26 years with the annuity option, or a single payment worth approximately $81 million with the cash option.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
