Michelle Bedor Mathews, age 47 of Canton, Ga., passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Bedor.
Survivors include her husband, Matt Mathews, Canton; sons, Jake M. Mathews, Canton, and Nicholas (Melissa) Roper, Ball Ground; daughter, Savannah A. Mathews, Canton; granddaughter, Ansley Brooke Roper, Ball Ground; mother, Carole Bedor, Marble Hill; brother, David Holbrook, Marble Hill; sister, Kelle McKinney, Canton; nephews, Jason Holbrook and Tyler Hutson; and niece, Olivia Peavy. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Chaplain Doug Mills officiating. Interment followed in Cherokee Memorial Park. Mr. A.J. Darby, age 84 of Ball Ground, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at Brian Center Rehab, Canton, Ga.
He was the owner and operator of Circle K Music “The Little Country Store With the Great Big Heart.”
Survivors include his sister, Claudette Conner, Claxton, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Lula Darby; and brothers, Edward and Donald Darby.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Gerald Sweatman and Revs. John Holoway Randy Hooper and Ray Mauldin officiating. Interment followed at Four Mile Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Hayne Tatum, Tim Cavender, Randy Gravley, Michael Searcy, Frank McDaniel, Jack Brooks and Dale Salter. The family did accept flowers or memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
Mrs. Donna Mitchell Wright, age 90 of Alpharetta, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012.
Mrs. Wright was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She was a lifelong farmer, an avid gardener and loving caregiver. Mrs. Wright was the district supervisor for the Limestone Valley Soil and Water Conservation District for Cherokee County for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.F. Wright; and brother, Fred Mitchell. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Wilkie, Free Home Community; grandsons, Wade (Blake) Wilkie, Free Home, and Wesley (Julie) Wilkie, Canton; great-grandsons, Brock and Max Wilkie; sister, Mary Jack, Canton; and sisters-in-law, Virginia Mitchell, Canton, Marelle Chapman, Peachtree City, and Mary Worley, Roswell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, from Hopewell Baptist Church in Alpharetta with the Revs. Gerral Richards and Bud Sutton officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Sosebee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Marjorie Fay Bailey, age 88 of Marietta, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Newnan, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Jimmie F. and Beulah Treadwell.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Janis and Bill Simms, Marietta, and Wanda and E.E. “Red” Jarrett, Talking Rock; granddaughters, Paula Dean and husband Marty, Talking Rock, Vicki Golden and husband Tony, Jasper, and Rebecca Jarrett, Talking Rock; and great-grandchildren, Justin Dean and wife Kira, Erin Dean and Tyler and Vanessa Golden.
The funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home.
John R. Mitchell, age 86 of Jasper, Ga., passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jo Pullen Mitchell; sons, John A., James Lee and Robert Jerald Mitchell; and grandson, John A. Mitchell, Jr.
A Masonic funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15. Interment followed at Resthaven Garden of Memory in Decatur. Arrangements by McDonald and Son Funeral Home & Crematory, Cumming.
Julia G. Sosebee Ingram, age 86 of Jasper, Ga., passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Wes Madden, Canton, Ga., and Carol and Thomas Wilson, Jasper; brother, Delmar Loggins, Cleveland, Ga.; and grandchildren, John and Jacob Wilson. Ms. Ingram was preceded in death by her husbands, John W. Sosebee, Jr. and Cecil L. Ingram; sister, Louvella Loggins; brothers, Denver and Duane Loggins; and infant son, Sosebee.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, from the Darby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Interment followed in the Ball Ground City Cemetery.
Jeanne Renee Graves passed on Feb. 10, 2012, surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born March 9, 1948.
She will be remembered as a talented artist. A tender-hearted animal lover, a wild and adventurous spirit and a loving and loved human being.

Randall Densmore, age 63 of Marble Hill, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at his residence after battling cancer for 11 years.
For about 40 years he continued the business started by his father of the opening and closing of graves for several funeral homes in the North Georgia area. He was a U.S. Army Sgt., a Vietnam War Veteran, a member of the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 970 Dawsonville and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Brenda and Linda Densmore, Pamela Densmore, Jamie Harper; and father, James (Spud) Densmore.
Survivors include his wife, Dinah Densmore, Marble Hill; daughters, Peggy Densmore, Ellijay, Christy (Jerome) Williams and Mindi Bramlett, both of Marble Hill, and Brittany Densmore, Ball Ground; son, Jody (Allison) Densmore, Ball Ground; son-in-law, Ryan Harper; mother, Helen Densmore, Jasper; brothers, Jerry Densmore, Ball Ground, and Donald Densmore, Acworth; sisters, Evelyn Williams, Jasper,
Dianne Fox, Tate, and Janice Childers, Jasper; grandchildren, Meagan Johnson, Mackenzie Lawson, Claire Williams, Myles and Kayla Bramlett, Landon Harper and Reagan Densmore; and great-grandchildren, Kayson Williams and Tanner Johnson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris White, Rodney Pilcher and Gary Keown officiating. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends all day Wednesday and until the funeral hour on Thursday.
