Speaker to discuss right to bear arms Jan. 24 at Chattahoochee Tech

TEA Party invites you to look at the 2nd Amendment

By Nancy Davis,

TEA Party Publicity

History is an amazing teacher.  There is almost nothing which happens today that has not happened in some form in the past. If we just knew our history, we could tell what would happen when we do certain things by just looking at the consequences when those same events happened before. The key is to learn and cherish the lessons of history so that we can both avoid the tragedies of the past mistakes and at the same time enjoy the blessings of past successes. And so our forefathers gave us the Constitution and the Amendments to the original documents.

On Jan. 24 at Chattahoochee Technical College beginning at 7 p.m., the Pickens County TEA Party will host a very special meeting. Looking at the Constitution and history, Jeff Anderson from Georgia Carry will be sharing history, legislation and the future for our 2nd Amendment, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Jeff Anderson from Georgia Carry will discuss the 2nd Amendment Tuesday in Jasper.

Our own Marine Corps, which was the first militia established to fight for us against the British, is the oldest armed force of America. Because of the overspending and huge debt even this historical part of America led by George Washington is being threatened today.   There are many state and federal legislations being proposed that will negate or completely eliminate certain areas of this part of our Constitution. You need to know about yesterday and today so that you can determine how you want the future of this Constitutional Amendment to be.

If you like to hunt, collect guns or protect your home and family, please come join us at this most important meeting.  Speak to the people who know.  Talk to your judge, your sheriff and your law representatives in the state legislature and find out how you are affected by the interpretations of this very simple, plainly stated amendment.

Jan. 24, Chattahoochee Technical College, 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come, hear and ask questions of people who know the answers. Please visit our website a or check us on our Facebook link.

Great to have these discussions and to realize, we must make sure, that we do not lose any more of our Constitution.

I think if at all possible there should be city and county law enforcement on hand to hear their take on gun laws as pertaining to carry issues

@ Jeff7

The Sheriff was invited along with a couple of judges and the DA. I believe they are like minded.
