Monday fire that endangered family a criminal act, says fire marshal

The deputy roused the couple and their eight-year-old daughter by beating on the side of the house as flames came through the front of the house and it quickly filled with smoke. The home was a total loss.

Clark said Wednesday they are waiting on some lab tests, but it is pretty clearly a case of arson. “We have ruled out every other possibility,” he said.

Clark said additional evidence was gathered at the scene working with state fire inspectors and a dog specially trained for arson investigation.

He said the family is “definitely” not suspected of starting the flames. “There is no way it was them,” he said.

How terrible, these people could have lost their lives. So, glad the deputy was in the right place at the right time to get this family out alive. What happened to love thy neighbor?

It's a very sad thing that has happened to this family...and not only is it sad for them...but now sad for everyone else in the community...To know that there is some deranged lunatic roaming around at night waiting for people to go to sleep, so they can get their kicks...wow...I hope the Law Enforcement is planning on doing more "Routine" patrols in this area...God be with them all!

I live in the area and there will be NO one burning my house down--trust me! or my immediate neighbors homes!
