Sustainable Pickens’ is happy to announce that our next meeting will be a tour of Whitestone Farms in Talking Rock!
Whitestone Farms co-owner Russell Cutts will give us a tour of this certified organic farm. We have asked Co-owner Christina Gordan Cutts to provide some dates for us to look at as potential Volunteer and Learn days at Whitestone Farm. Also, plants and produce from Whitestone Farm will be for sale, so come prepared to be inspired to create or add-to your own 'farm'.
We will also be discussing plans for 'Green Gardens' throughout Jasper. The first location has been determined! Come learn how you can participate and add your ideas.
The public is invited to attend, so bring your family and food and drinks to share! Whitestone has graciously offered us the use of a kitchen and the fire-ring area. Make sure you bring your own plates, cup, and utensils!
The meeting is Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Whitestone Farms, which is located at 961 Old Whitestone Farm Rd. East, Talking Rock.
