Collin Aaronson interview

6/3/2009 -

The Sassafras Literary Exchange is pleased to announce the discovery of another promising Pickens County poet. Collin Aaronson, Pickens High ninth grader, has won first place in the high school poetry contest. His winning poem, "The Journey of the Brethren," repays close reading. Suddenly and delightfully it becomes clear.
The son of Kim and Jenny Aaronson, Collin writes poetry as a hobby. His favorite subject matter is wildlife, especially wolves, which he says are "noble and admirable" but "misunderstood." Collin not only chronicles his wildlife experiences, he also photographs it. He plans to have a career working with wildlife.
Our compliments to his language arts teacher Ms. Marsha Wright. We wish Collin much success and look forward to getting his entry for next year's poetry contest.
