I wake up and look around
I do not hear a sound
I get up and tiptoe across the cold bare floor
I can hear my mothers snore
I creep to the kitchen and look out the window
I see the wonderful new fallen snow
I grab my jacket and walk outside
I look around nothing in site despite the new fallen snow
I can smell the dew on the empty grass patch
I go back to the door in a flash
I run straight to mommas room
I open the door and walk across the floor
I wake momma and when she opens her eyes
I say momma follow me
I take her to the window
I look out and she says lets get breakfast and then we’ll go
I said, go where, she said, you’ll see
I walk into the kitchen momma and me
I smell fresh coffee and fresh tea
I eat up the pancakes we both had three
I wonder where we’re going momma and me
I now follow momma outside
I see that I have a big surprise
I can’t believe what momma bought me
I know have brand knew snow skis
I go with momma up the hill and ride down
I can’t believe what is happening now
I have to go home it is getting dark
I can’t wait to come maybe next time we’ll ski in the park
I love going there my momma does too
I’m glad we found something new to do
I’m tired now I’m going to sleep
I can now tell my friends what fun I’ve had
I just love winter days like that
