The Chamber of Commerce hosted a State of the County program Tuesday featuring Commission Chair Rob Jones, Jasper Mayor John Weaver, School Superintendent Carlton Wilson and  Sheriff Donnie Craig.

Host Tim Norton, of Reinhardt University, introduced the program by saying you can not understand government or the people involved without getting out and seeing them in programs like this. 

“You can’t get what you need by social media,” he said. “You have to know people.”
