Roof upgrade donated to Jasper Police headquarters

Members of City of Jasper government, Global Restoration, GAF Materials and ABC Supply just prior to the Jasper Police Headquarter’s roof being torn off and upgraded.

The City of Jasper Police headquarters on Dixie Street has just received a facelift, and thanks to two roofing supply companies and the organizational efforts of Global Restoration, the city’s new roof is “out of the 19th Century and into the 21st Century.”

Adrian Jones, Territory Manager for GAF Materials, which makes the roofing materials, said the enhancement comes by way of a higher quality lining that will help with heating.  The upgrade is worth approximately $2,000.
Jones said GAF wanted to support the city police department because “many of them are former military, and this fits in with our Roofs for Troops program,” he said. “We appreciate their service.”
ABC Supply also donated to the joint effort.
Roofs for Troops is a program that offers a $300 discount to active military, veterans, and retirees who have their roof installed by a GAF certified contractor such as Global Restoration, which operates out of Jasper and whose crew installed the station’s new roof in one day’s time last week.
“We are grateful we have everything taken care of and they did a great job,” said Jasper Police Chief Greg Lovell.
