Enjoy Photos, Recipes, and Local Hiking Trails All Year Long with land trust calendar

The Mountain Conservation Trust of Georgia (MCTGA) has created a unique calendar for 2011.  With each passing month, you can enjoy photos of North Georgia, delicious recipes, and local hiking trails.

During the past few years, members of MCTGA have commented that we have many talented photographers in our community and someone should create a collection of their images.  Also, our members have enjoyed Alice Craig’s delicious cooking at our 2009 and 2010 Annual Meeting and Picnic and constantly request copies of the recipes.  And many people contact us throughout the year regarding local hiking and walking trail options.  So we decided to compile all three into a calendar.

The 2011 Calendar showcases David Akoubian’s photography, Alice’s recipes, and trails constructed by the Mountain Stewards.  We hope you enjoy the collection.

MCTGA hopes that members of the community will share their photos, recipes, and favorite hiking spots for future issues.  We are already accepting submissions for the 2012 calendar, so send us your contributions.

You can still purchase the 2011 MCTGA Calendar of Photos, Food, and Trails.  It is available for $15 on the MCTGA website or in Jasper at our office, at the Pickens County Progress, at Natural Marketplace, and at Burnt Mountain Trading Company.  Quantities are limited, so don’t miss out!  Proceeds support MCTGA operating expenses.

Please contact MCTGA with questions, to order your 2011 calendar, or to send us submissions for the 2012 edition.  We look forward to hearing from you.

The Board of Directors and Staff of the Mountain Conservation Trust of Georgia wish you and your family a wonderful 2011.
