It’s not Jordan Grassi’s first time performing on the Sharptop Arts Association stage, but it is the first time her and her band have the evening to themselves – and this Saturday you have the opportunity to see this rising country star up close and personal as the third performance in our Summer Sounds series.
Grassi is a singer/songwriter who has quickly made a name for herself in the Southeast. Grassi has been singing and performing nearly her entire life. She started writing songs when she was 10 years old and is a self taught guitarist and pianist. She started playing her original songs publicly in February of 2011. Since then, multiple songs have been named Song of the Month and have aired on Atlanta’s 94.9 The Bull Radio Station. In just 3 short years of playing shows, Grassi’s talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. She has racked up a number of titles under her belt including Georgia Country’s Teen Artist of the Year, Favorite Country Artist, Texaco Country Showdown winner for North Georgia, 1 of 10 finalists chosen in the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam and 3rd place winner in the SMSWF Battle of the Bands.
Grassi currently resides in Canton, Georgia and performs quite frequently in the Metro Atlanta areas. She is also no stranger to the Nashville scene. Her past shows include performances at The Bluebird Café Writers Nights, Opry Mills Mall, Atlantic Station, Wild Bill’s, Electric Cowboy, Honky Tonk Central, Tootsies and many other venues.
Grassi recorded her self-titled EP in 2012, produced by Ben Sesar, drummer for Brad Paisley, with Ben, Rod Janzen, Randle Currie, Justin Williamson, and Matt Williamson in the studio. The EP is now available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other music distribution websites. She is currently in the studio working on her first full length album which will be available mid-2014.
Grassi was recently accepted to Belmont University’s Songwriting Program and she is eager to finally make her move to Nashville in the fall of this year.
