A man from Pickens County is celebrating a big win from the Georgia Lottery. Dennis Noland of Talking Rock won a $1 million top prize playing the instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular.
Georgia Lottery representatives presented Noland with an oversized check Wednesday at Airport Grocery, Sunlight Road in Ellijay, which is the store where the winning ticket was sold.
Noland, a self-employed grading contractor, was in the area when he decided to stop at the store. He scratched the lucky ticket in the parking lot.
“I took it home to enter it online for the second chance drawing, and I couldn’t enter it,” said Noland, 47. “I looked over the ticket again and saw that I’d won. I was in disbelief for a while.”
The lucky winner and his wife, Donna, anticipate paying off bills with the windfall.
“We’re just relieved all the way around,” Noland shared. “We’ll feel secure for a while.”
Georgia Lottery instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular is loaded with cash prizes, including top prizes of up to $10 million.
Players can enter their non-winning tickets into the $10 Million Cash Spectacular Extra Chance Promotion for a second chance to win $10 million. For more information, visit www.galottery.com.
