Angels on Horseback looking for new volunteers

angels-on-horseback

Angels on Horseback is looking for a few good men, women, or teenagers to help with lessons on Sat. a.m., Tues. a.m and probably another morning during the summer for our friends with mental or physical disabilities.  Only 4 hours of your time is needed once each week!  The summer session will be 8 weeks long and will be taught in the shade of our beautiful arena under the sweetgum trees.  You are right!  That is very COOL!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO BE HORSE HANDLERS, LEADERS, SIDEWALKERS, GROOMERS, AND OFFICE HELPERS!  Come share this rewarding volunteer opportunity with your soon-to-be new friends at AOH.  Angels on Horseback is 11 years old this year and has provided benefits to HUNDREDS of individuals through the MAGIC OF THE MOVEMENT that is the HORSE!!!

Come See For Yourself!!!

Our next Volunteer Training will be Friday, June 13th @ 9:00 a.m.  Lessons will start the next day, Sat. June 14th @ 8:00 a.m.  If you would like to learn more about Therapeutic Riding, go to PATHIntl.org and then to Angel’s website @ www.angelsonhorseback.org to see photos of actual lessons being taught with volunteers like you leading and sidewalking with our horses and students.

Angels currently has 11 students on a waiting list.  These are individuals that could be benefiting from Therapeutic Riding, but can’t because of lack of Volunteers.  You will be rewarded personally for your involvement with this Program.  Angels teaches lessons 9 months out of each year.  March – November.

Summertime is laid-back.  This is a relaxed way to make new friends and spend time outdoors with our 4 legged friends who are also Angel Volunteers!!!

Information:  Leslie Elliott, Founder/Director 770 893-1992 or 770 355-5726 or Karen Davis, Volunteer Coordinator 706 692-0069 or 404 372-6018.  Remember our website!  www.angelsonhorseback.org
