Local officials are expressing optimism that a proposed $148 million water park resort near Antioch Church Road on Highway 515 will locate here following several presentations to different groups and during private meetings with developers.
Economic Developer Gerry Nechvatal told more than 400 members of the chamber of commerce Tuesday morning that he is “optimistic that you will see equipment at a job site.”

The column by Tommy Gartrell "The need for distriction" expressed beautifully a code of living. He said quietly, but distinctly: "I do not claissify people by personal distinctions such as color, lls"

Mr. Gartrell set an important example for all "sports fanantics" and all other folks in this time when it is so easy to classify folks by their background and not by the way they actually live their lives. Thank you, Mr. Gartrell.

Relevance to waterpark: brain-eating amoebas don't care about our difference, so we shouldn't either.
