Clerk of Court angry over "micro managing"

Pickens County Seal 3d    While it’s been mostly cordial, the board of commissioners and the clerk of court have been at odds since October of 2013 over budget cuts to the point that an e-mail from Clerk of Court Gail Brown indicated a possible suit against the county could be forthcoming.
In an interview last week, Brown said the only way she would ever file a “mandamus” action against the county would be as an absolute final resort and that her office has been able to absorb the unwanted cuts so far. But Brown was also clear that her office is under-funded and under-staffed and she feels the commissioners have cut her  funding unfairly and “micro-managed” her operations.
