Plans have been made. Tate Elementary students will be on stage. Parade entries will line up and be judged. Vendors will be in place. Motorcar rides will operate. Barbecue lunches will be available, the Old Tate Depot, the Old Tate Gym, Tate Elementary and the sanctuary of Tate United Methodist
Church will be open for touring. The cake bake-off will provide visual and tasty treats. School children’s art work will decorate the gym. Tate High School class reunions will be ongoing. Tate United Methodist’s yard sale and hot dog lunch will be raising funds for the student weekend lunch bag program. The children’s inflatable will be ready. The PHS LEO face-painting will have brushes and colors at hand. Marble Valley Friends’ members, Tate United Methodist and LEO Club members will be ready to serve.
All of the above is for what? Tate Day Homecoming Festival on Nov. 2 will operate 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in and around the historic village of Tate. The only unknown factor at this time is whether or not you will be in attendance. Marble Valley Friends, event sponsor, hopes to visit with you there.
