Cherokee Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a home invasion that occurred on July 9th at a residence on Rampley Trail near Waleska. The victim reported at approximately 11:00pm 3 black males armed with a handgun and baseball bats entered her home wearing bandanas over their faces and demanded cash. According to the victim, one of the suspects hit her and took her purse which reportedly contained a substantial but undisclosed amount of cash. The robbery occurred in front of her brother and two children. The suspects fled the scene prior to deputies arriving at the incident location.
