Sautee, GA: Members of the wine drinking public are invited to judge the eight wines that will be presented at the 2012 International Grand Wine Challenge on Saturday, January 21. Two blind tastings will be held at the Yonah Mountain Vineyards tasting room in Sautee at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. during which participants may consider how the elements of Yonah Mountain Vineyards and Serenity Cellars wines compare to some of California's and Italy's finest labels.
Wines from Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Serenity Cellars, Jordan Vineyard & Winery, Kistler Vineyards and a super-Tuscan blend to be announced will be poured. Yonah Mountain Vineyards winemaker Joe Smith and owners Bob and Jane Miller will host the event. The 2012 International Grand Wine Challenge is open to all. $30.00 per person. Wine lovers can get the inside scoop on Yonah Mountain Vineyards wines by attending the Tour de la Cave & Barrel Sampling, offered at 12:00 noon on January 14 and January 28. Participants visit the vineyard near Cleveland, tour the winery and sample future vintages with winemaker Joe Smith.
