Library Book sale continues Saturday at Chatt. Tech.

The Friends of the Pickens County Library used book sale continues today until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale is an opportunity to gain some valuable books at a bargain basement price, the proceeds supporting our county library.

Chattahoochee Technical College in Jasper hosts the sale inside its large conference facility––hard to miss with its glass atrium and triple flagpoles out front.

A warehouse quantity of books awaits you, spread on tables that cover most of the floor inside the auditorium-sized conference space. And Library Friends are on hand to help you with your purchases.

A popular event, the sale drew customers ready to shop books before doors even opened at 9 a.m. Friday. Friend of the Library, Randy Stepp, said 60 shoppers stood in line outside to have first crack at bargains as the sale started.

Hardback books sell for a dollar. Paperbacks go for 50 cents.
