FOUR LEGGED LOVE

01-28-15

BY

JOAN WILSON-GORDON

A tax deductible donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or The Animal Control Shelter of Pickens County in someone’s name would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary, memorial or special occasion present and would help make sure no Buddy is left behind. A donation of food, money, toys, or supplies will make a big difference in the lives of homeless pets.  All donations go to help the pets.  Contributions are accepted every day at the Shelter, PAWS on Main and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.

If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who needs a forever home to fill with laughter and love.

THE PICKENS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (THE SHELTER)

Volunteers are welcome and needed.  Please stop by the Shelter and sign up for a time and activity to help with the animals.  They and the staff appreciate it.

The Adoption Fee is $100.00 for dogs.  Most cats and kittens are free to qualified homes.  Check with the director for details.   The adoption fee includes shots and spay or neutering.  Find out more about adopting pets at The Shelter at www.petango.com or:

FIDO—one-year-old black German shepherd-lab mix dog

Hi, I am Fido.  I am a smart young dog eager to learn and please my special person.   My perfect home would be cat free and have adult people to give me exercise and attention.   I am a happy dog full of fun.  The thing that would make me even happier is a new forever home.  We could go for walks and rides together and be best friends.

I hope you will come meet me and visit all my dog and cat friends here at the Pickens County Animal Control Shelter.  We are all looking for a forever home to fill with love and laughter.

Visiting hours are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesdays through Fridays and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. No appointment is required.  If you can, please donate cleaning materials, pet food, and pet supplies to the Shelter.

SARA FAE-female gray tabby kitty

Hi, I am Sara Fae, a young and beautiful kitty.  I have a designer coat of gray and black with splashes of gold that match my golden eyes.   I am about ten months old and very loving.   Some people found me at the State Farm office (thus my name Sara Fae) and they assured me I would have a good place to stay here at the PAR Ranch.  I have been well taken care of here but now I am ready to move to my forever home.

I hope you will come visit me soon at the PAR Ranch. I have lots of dog and cat friends here. And all of us are ready to fill someone’s home and life with love, companionship, and fun.  You can see more pictures of all of us on www.petfinder.com or at www.pickensanimalrescue.org

All the animals at the PAR Ranch are healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all their shots. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Appointments are not required.
