FOUR LEGGED LOVE
09-17-14
BY:  B. JOAN WILSON
A donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or Animal Shelter of Pickens County in someone’s name would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary, memorial or special occasion present and would help make sure no Buddy is left behind. All donations go to help the pets.  Donations are accepted every day at the Shelter and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.
If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who need a forever home to fill with laughter and love:

THE PICKENS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (THE SHELTER)
Volunteers are welcome and needed.  Please stop by the Shelter and sign up for a time and activity to help with the animals.  They and the staff appreciate it.
The Adoption Fees are $100.00 for kittens and dogs.  Some adult cats are free to a qualified home; see Judy for details.  The adoption fee includes shots and spay or neutering.  Find out more about adopting pets at The Shelter at www.petango.com or:
3563 Camp Road
Jasper, GA 30148
706-253-8983

Due to some generous patrons who have prepaid the adoption fees, the Pickens County Animal Shelter has several cats that are free to qualified homes. And currently there is a two for one special on kittens.  Adopt two and pay only one adoption fee – twice the love and fun for the same low fee.  See Judy at the Shelter for details.

SMOKEY – Russian blue male cat
I am Smokey, a Russian blue cat with a phenomenally sweet personality. Of course my coat is a beautiful gray.  The people here at the shelter describe me as “Regal”.  I think my person will be very proud to have such a handsome, sweet, and “regal” cat.  I am ready now for the purrfect companion and forever home.  I hope you will come visit me soon at the Pickens County Animal Shelter.  All the dogs and cats here are looking for a forever home they can fill with love and laughter.

Visiting hours are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesdays through Fridays and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. No appointment is required.  If you can, please donate cleaning materials, pet food, and pet supplies to the Shelter.

PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE (PAR)
Find out more about pets available at PAR for adoption at www.pickensanimalrescue.org  or at 706-692-2772.  The adoption fee is $150 for dogs and $75 for cats and includes, micro-chipping, spay/neutering and all shots.

LEVI – hound mix male puppy
Hi, I am Levi, a five-month-old hound mix puppy.  I am energetic and loads of fun.  I like to walk on a leash and play with toys,  and I am already house-trained.  I am smart and smart-looking with my brown and white short hair coat.   Will you come visit me at the PAR Ranch?  We could be best friends and I would fill your home with love, laughter and fun.
I hope you will come visit me and all my friends at the PAR Ranch. We are all waiting to find a home that we can fill with love, companionship, and fun.  You can see more pictures of all of us on www.petfinder.com.
All the animals at the PAR Ranch are healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all their shots. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Appointments are not required.
