Pets of the Week for October 23, 2014

FOUR LEGGED LOVE
10-15-14
BY:  JOAN WILSON-GORDON
A donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or Animal Shelter of Pickens County in someone’s name would make a wonderful birthday, anniversary, memorial or special occasion present and would help make sure no Buddy is left behind. All donations go to help the pets.  Donations are accepted every day at the Shelter and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.
If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who need a forever home to fill with laughter and love:
THE PICKENS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (THE SHELTER)
Volunteers are welcome and needed.  Please stop by the Shelter and sign up for a time and activity to help with the animals.  They and the staff appreciate it.
The Adoption Fees are $100.00 for kittens and dogs.  Some adult cats are free to a qualified home; see Judy for details.  The adoption fee includes shots and spay or neutering.  Find out more about adopting pets at The Shelter at www.petango.com or:
3563 Camp Road
Jasper, GA 30148
706-253-8983

Due to some generous patrons who have prepaid the adoption fees, the Pickens County Animal Shelter has several cats that are free to qualified homes. And currently there is a two for one special on kittens.  Adopt two and pay only one adoption fee – twice the love and fun for the same low fee.  See Judy at the Shelter for details.

FIRE AND ICE –Russian Blue cats
Hello, we are Fire and Ice, two gorgeous Russian Blue cats.   I am Ice, the petite female.  Fire is the male and he is, well he is a bit husky.   I weigh about six pounds and he weighs around nine pounds.   He has a white patch on his chest.  I am solid gray.  We are both beautiful with green eyes and loving personalities.  Fire really likes to be a lap cat and I like to purr when I am rubbed and petted.  We think we are the Purrfect Pair, but we don’t have to be adopted together, but wouldn’t it be neat if we could be?

We hope you will come visit us and all our dog and cat friends here at the Pickens County Animal Control Shelter.  Everyone is looking for a forever home to fill with love and laughter.

Visiting hours are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesdays through Fridays and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. No appointment is required.  If you can, please donate cleaning materials, pet food, and pet supplies to the Shelter.

PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE (PAR)

BABY –Female, Shepherd Mix, female dog
Hi, I am Baby, a beautiful brindle colored shepherd mix female dog.  I am mature and well behaved.  I have lived here at the PAR Ranch a long time and I am really looking forward to finding a person or family to have as my very own and to love unconditionally.  I am sweet, good-natured, gentle and loving.  I would make a great companion and friend.
I hope you will come visit me and all my friends at the PAR Ranch. We are all waiting to find a home that we can fill with love, companionship, and fun.  You can see more pictures of all of us on www.petfinder.com.
All the animals at the PAR Ranch are healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all their shots. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Appointments are not required.
