FOUR LEGGED LOVE

12-17-14

BY:  JOAN WILSON-GORDON

A tax deductible donation to Pickens Animal Rescue or Animal Control Shelter of Pickens County in someone’s name would make a wonderful Christmas, birthday, anniversary, memorial or special occasion present and would help make sure no Buddy is left behind. A donation of food, money, toys, or supplies will make a big difference in the lives of homeless pets.  All donations go to help the pets.  Contributions are accepted every day at the Shelter, PAWS on Main and the PAR Rescued Furniture Store.

If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion, a buddy for one of your pets, someone to talk to, take rides with, or hold in your lap, please consider one of the following pets who need a forever home to fill with laughter and love:

THE PICKENS COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER (THE SHELTER)

Volunteers are welcome and needed.  Please stop by the Shelter and sign up for a time and activity to help with the animals.  They and the staff appreciate it.

The Adoption Fee is $100.00 for dogs.  Most cats and kittens are free to qualified homes.  Check with the directors for details.   The adoption fee includes shots and spay or neutering.  Find out more about adopting pets at The Shelter at www.petango.com or:

LEE—two-year-old beagle mix male dog

Hi, I am Lee and I am asking Santa for a forever home.  I have been so good and the people here at the Animal Control Shelter say I am very sweet and loving.  I am shy and reserved until I get to know you.  My tricolor coat of white, black, and tan sets off my big, warm brown eyes.  My perfect home would be one without children so I could be the best friend and companion of my special person.  I have a lot of love to give and could brighten someone’s holidays for years to come.

I hope you will come meet me and visit all my dog and cat friends here at the Pickens County Animal Control Shelter.  We are all looking for a forever home to fill with love and laughter.

Visiting hours are 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM Tuesdays through Fridays and 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday. No appointment is required.  If you can, please donate cleaning materials, pet food, and pet supplies to the Shelter.

PICKENS ANIMAL RESCUE (PAR)

SIMBA– Orange, male kitty

Meow, I am Simba the cat with the amazing eyes.  I have been here at the PAR Ranch since I was a tiny kitten.  Now that I am seven months old I am ready for a new furever home.   My orange fur coat makes me stand out and is a perfect match for my beautiful bright eyes.  I am very playful and the nice people here at the Ranch say I would make a wonderful addition to any home – maybe yours?

I hope you will come visit me soon at the PAR Ranch. I have lots of dog and cat friends here. And all of us are ready to fill someone’s home and life with love, companionship, and fun.  You can see more pictures of all of us on www.petfinder.com or at www.pickensanimalrescue.org

All the animals at the PAR Ranch are healthy, happy, spayed or neutered, and current on all their shots. Visiting hours are Tuesday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Appointments are not required.
