Mr. Fred H. Talley, age 78 of Ball Ground, Ga., passed away Friday, May 22, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jabe Talley; mother, Mattie Talley; and sister, Myrtle Owens.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Minnie L. Talley, Ball Ground; daughter, Janice Gayla Talley-Riddle, Flowery Branch, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Fred H., Jr. and Gina Talley, Talking Rock, Ga.; grandchildren, Seth Douglas, Erica Brooke and Emily Madeline Talley and Ashleigh Lynn Riddle; sisters and brother-in-law, Grace and Clarence Langford, Eatonton, Ga., and Jessie Talley, Florida; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Bernice Talley, Highlands, N.C., and Leon and Clare Talley, Charlotte, N.C.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 26 at noon from the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. with full military honors and with Preacher Don Landen officiating. Arrangements were by Junior E. Flanigan of Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory of Buford, Ga.
Mrs. Faye Bennett, age 67 of Jasper, passed away Monday afternoon, May 25, 2009 at her home following a period of declining health.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Jeff Bennett, Jasper, and Dwayne and Lyndel Bennett, Dallas; grandchildren, Dylan and Lyndsey Claudia Bennett and Dustin Capes, all of Dallas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Louise Duncan and Don and Floudie Duncan, all of Marble Hill; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lou and Ray Qualls and Mamie and Mark Whitfield, all of Jasper; special sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Bennett, Jasper; and special friends, Mike DeGolier and Rita Stokes, both of Jasper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Claude Bennett; parents, Delmer and Betty James Duncan; brothers, J.M., Gene, Bill and Bob Duncan; and sisters, Ruth Fann and Carolyn Fields.
The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 27 from the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with the Revs. Joey DuBois, Charles O. Walker and Robbie Lusk officiating. Interment followed in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jeff and Dwayne Bennett, Mike DeGolier, Mike Castleberry, Ricky Woodall, John M. Caylor and Craig Zipse. The family requests that contributions be made to the Faye Bennett Memorial Fund at Jasper Banking Company.
A memorial service for Jacqueline Music Andrews, age 64, was held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Dudley United Methodist Church with a graveside service to follow at 2 p.m. at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Ga. The Rev. Ed Ellington officiated.
Mrs. Andrews was born July 16, 1944 in Pensacola, Fl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Dean Andrews; and a cherished friend, Jerry Miller. She was a member of Dudley United Methodist Church and was employed at Millers Kwik Stop. Mrs. Andrews passed on Thursday, June 4 at Dublinair Nursing Home following an extended illness.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Music, Pensacola; several cherished friends, David and Sandra McCullough, Albin and Barbara Watson and family, Venita Smith, Doyle and Faye Dixon, Debbie Fordham, Julia Ware, Virginia Ware, her employees of Millers Kwik Stop, Dudley United Methodist Church family and her beloved dogs, Biscuit, Gabby and Holley.
Pallbearers were: Ron Nobles, Albin Watson, David McCullough, Lee Weaver, Joel Cauley, J.M. Howell, Bert Evans, Emmett Bozeman, Dwight Smith, Will Nobles, Torey Watson, Doyle Dixon, Jerry Adams, Foster Goff, Dwight Overstreet, Dennis Holley and Glenn Allen. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in her memory to the Dudley United Methodist Church, 14022 2nd St., Dudley, Ga. 31022.

Mr. Wayne Thurman, age 79 of Talking Rock passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Thurman, Talking Rock; sons and daughter-in-law, Richard Thurman, Jasper, and Jerry and Patsy Thurman, Talking Rock; daughter, Sharon Hulsey, Talking Rock; brother, Benton Thurman, Cartersville; and sister, Grace Bray, Cartersville. Seventeen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. Herman Bell and Ralph Harper officiating. Interment followed in Hinton Community Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bobby Delay, Frank Harper, Travis Hulsey, Ricky Bray, Cory Blackman and Steve Thurman.
Mr. Earl Ingram, age 71 of Nelson, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ingram, Nelson; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony (Bo) and Kathleen Ingram, Jasper; daughter, Theresa Anne Edwards, Nelson; sisters, Shirley Kent Padgett, Jasper, Genneal Buchanan, Marietta, and Delores Parker, Smyrna; and grandson, Nicholas Drew Edwards.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Revs. James Rich, Troy Davis and Junior McTaggart officiating. Interment followed in Lake Forest Memorial Park in Jasper. Pallbearers were: Bobby Klein, Troy Morris, Joe Dean, Chris Walker, Junior Ingram and Michael Buchanan. The family did accept flowers or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Joseph Lawrence Bodeck III, age 44 of Jasper, passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Bodeck was of the Baptist faith and involved in the Cherokee and Pickens Recreation leagues.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Johnson Bodeck, Jasper; father, Joseph Bodeck, Mulkeytown, Il.; step-father, Gary Polston, Vienna, Il.; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Harshbarger and Brian and Sandy Harshbarger, all of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Treena and Corey Parish, Jasper; brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and Inna Bodeck, Atlanta, and James and Alicia Bodeck, Wachula, Fl.; and nephew, Kyle Bodeck, Wachula, Fl. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives. Mr. Bodeck was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Polston; sister, Chelsea Polston; and son, Matthew Adams.
