Barbara Rider
Mrs. Barbara Jean Rider, age 69 of Ellijay, died Friday, June 25, 2010.
Mrs. Rider was born on Oct. 23, 1940 in Atlanta, Ga. She is the daughter of the late Doniver Edward McDaniel and Pearl Liner Porter McDaniel. Mrs. Rider was a homemaker and a member of the Dailey Walk Ministries.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Buddy Rider of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Elizabeth Rider, Ellijay, and Larry Byers, Blue Ridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Wes Carden, Jasper, Kathy Casias, Colorado, and Donna and William Dillard, Ellijay; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Green, Ellijay; and sister, Cheryl Headrick, Ellijay.

William McWaters
William Donald McWaters, age 72 of Jasper, formerly of Mableton, died June 30, 2010 after a 26 month courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma and Leukemia. He retired as captain from the City of Atlanta and Fulton Co. Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Bell McWaters; daughter, Robin L. McWaters; son, W. Pierce McWaters; daughter-in-law, Deborah V. McWaters; grandson, Winston P. McWaters; six sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Mableton with the Revs. Stephen Byrd, Leonard Perry and David York officiating. Interment was at Mount Harmony Memorial Gardens.

Roy Boling
Mr. Roy Lee Boling, age 63 of Jasper, Ga., died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Born May 17, 1947 in Jasper, he was the son of the late Charlie Clayton and Pauline Raynes Boling. Roy last worked at Royston in Jasper.
Survivors include, his wife, Sue Boling, Jasper; children, Stacey Nichols (James) and Tiffany Payne (Jamie), all of Jasper; brother, James Boling, Jasper; sisters, Betty Henderson and Judy Jarrett, both of Jasper; and grandchildren, Brittney, Haley and Slate Nichols and Isaiah, Lexi and Breanna Payne, all of Jasper. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 2 from Roper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Larry Johnson and Gene Childers officiating. Interment followed at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Tate, Ga.
