Mr. Lloyd W. Zook, age 69 of Ball Ground, Ga., went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, March 7, 2009.
He was born and raised in Newton, Ks. Mr. Zook graduated from Southwestern University, Winfield, Ks., and The Institute of Court Management, Denver, Co.
Mr. Zook was the court administrator for District Courts in McPherson, Ks., Topeka, Ks., Las Vegas, Nv. and Tacoma, Wa. After 18 years of court administration, Mr. Zook served as the executive director of Boys Village, Seattle, Wa.; Bailie Memorial Youth Ranch, Mesa, Wa.; and Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, Waleska, Ga. After his retirement from Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, Mr. Zook became the director of the Canton, Ga. Salvation Army Family Service Center, the position he held until his death.
Mr. Zook and his wife of 47 years, Ardith, were foster parents to 35 children in four states over a period of more than 30 years. He believed God called him to be a father to the emotionally, spiritually and literal fatherless. Their children are, sons, Erick Harrington, Kennesaw, Ga., Steven Zook, Fall Brook, Ca., James Zook, Canton, Ga., and Jamie Zook, Ball Ground, Ga.; daughter, Tracy Skipper, Warsaw, In. They have 13 grandchildren. Mr. Zook?s brothers were Arthur Zook, Wenatchee, Wa., and Bill Zook, Olathe, Ks.; and sisters, Marjorie Zook Cregio, Wichita, Ks., and Marian Zook Heidner, Newton, Ks. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Zook; and his parents, George and Gladys Zook.

Mr. Bill Saint, age 80 of Ball Ground, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee.
Survivors include his children, Patti Glover, Canton, Rachel Gowan, Montgomery, Tx., Ralph and Roger Saint, both of Falkville, Al., and Randy Saint, Cullman, Al.; step-children, Owen and William Pittman, both of Milledgeville, and Madlyn Mickler, Eatonton; sister, Thelma Smith, Florence, Al., granddaughters, Britney Wigington, Ellijay and Taylor Glover, Canton; and great-granddaughter, Addi Wigington. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. William C. ?Bill? Low, age 80 of Ball Ground, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
A veteran of WW II, Mr. Low served in the United States Army. He was a rural mail carrier in Jasper for many years. In 1992 he retired after 32 years of service with his last position as Postmaster in Greenville, Ga. Mr. Low was a member of the Jasper First Baptist Church and Pickens Masonic Lodge #220. He was, most of all, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and son.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Virginia Low, Ball Ground; mother, Lois Low, Jasper; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Jim Willcox, Kennesaw, and Sharon and Gary Pardue, Lawrenceville; sister and brother-in-law, Peggie and Charles Chapman, Jasper; grandchildren, Monica and Tony Marra, High Point, N.C., James ?Skip? and Cynthia Willcox, Sandersville, Kelley and Jason Lee, Sugar Hill, Shea Buckley, Athens, and Will Buckley, Lawrenceville; great-grandchildren, Tony Marra, High Point, N.C., and Carter Lee, Sugar Hill; and niece and nephews, Leslie C. and Mark Miller and Clint Chapman, all of Jasper. Mr. Low was preceded in death by his father, Carter C. Low; and a brother, Eugene A. Low.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12 from Jasper First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Lewis and the Rev. Charles O. Walker officiating. Mr. Randy Steve Daniel, age 53 of Ball Ground, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Daniel was the owner and operator of Etowah Pest Control. He was a member of Tate United Methodist Church and an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his mother, Mary E. Daniel, Canton; and brothers, Henry Daniel, Acworth, Troy Daniel, Holly Springs, Ray Daniel, Ellijay, Joe Daniel, Avery Community, Ricky Daniel, Holly Springs, and Paul Daniel, Canton. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Nancy Smith, age 49 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2009 at Wellstar-Kennestone Hospital, Marietta.
Survivors include her husband, David Smith, Talking Rock; mother, Betty Rodgers, Smyrna; mother-in-law, Amelia Sanders, Jasper; daughter, Allison Smith, Talking Rock; brothers, Jeff and Steve Rodgers, both of Smyrna; sister, Donna Anderson, Gainesville; and sister-in-law, Kathy Smith, Marietta.

Mr. Terry L. Arnold, age 53 of Jasper, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Childers Arnold, Jasper; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Crystal Arnold, McDonough; daughters, Destiny Arnold and Bridgett Fitzgerald, both of Jasper; brothers, Robert Arnold, Chattanooga, and Gene and Alan Arnold, both of Chicamauga; and grandchild, Chole Arnold. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Troy Cotes Mooney, age 32 of Jasper, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife, Decca Mooney, Jasper; mother, Patricia Mooney, Dawson County; son, Austen Mooney, Jasper; daughter, Anna Belle Mooney, Jasper; brother, William Mooney; and sister, Shelia Hill. Eleven nieces and one great-niece also survives. He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Mooney.

Interment followed in the church cemetery. Richard ?Mickey? Allen Gallagher was a simple, honest, loving, hard-working husband, soldier and man of God born August 4, 1929.
A veteran, he honorably served our country as a Merchant Marine during the Korean War. A loyal husband, he remained faithful and dedicated to his one and only bride of 55 years, Margaret Gallagher, who survives him. A father, he loved Bruce and Bob Clarke as his own. A grandfather, he loved Bobby Clarke, Jim Clarke, Susan Staley and Kathy Silverglate as his own. He raised Susan and Kathy like daughters after Bruce died and stood in the gap as a father to them. A great- grandfather to Jordan, Ryan, Erin, Morgan and Cameron, he leaves a legacy of faith.
A selfless provider, he worked as a professional surveyor in NJ and then in Jasper, Ga. as VP at Big Canoe Corp. A sold-out disciple of Jesus Christ, Richard was a founding member of The Chapel in Jasper, Ga. and was instrumental in sharing the truth of Jesus Christ with hundreds of men, women and youth during his life. He would consider this his greatest legacy. The funeral was held on March 17 from the Lowe Funeral Home, Charlotte, 3 p.m.
Mrs. Bess Stancil Bearden Young, age 99 of Jasper, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Cameron Hall Assisted Living in Canton.
She is survived by a sister, Faye Tippens, Canton; and grandchildren, Anthony Richards, Milledgeville, Kimberly Rainwater, Newnan, Angela Creason, Sharpsburg, and Stacie Young, Jasper. Five grandchildren also survive.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17 from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Leo Beller officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery. J. Mike Hollomon
J. Mike Hollomon, age 58 of Woodstock, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
Mr. Hollomon was born in Sikeston, Mo. He lived most of his life in Georgia, growing up in Marietta. He was a member and deacon of Central Baptist Church in Marietta. He was self-employed as a heating and air contractor and was a member of the Masons Lodge 96 in Atlanta.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Frances Hollomon, Woodstock; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jay Foust and Lynn and Brian Keener, all of Jasper, and Crystal and Todd Ensworth, Marietta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Deborah Hollomon, Woodstock, Tim Hollomon, Anderson, Ca., and Jimmy and Anita Hollomon, Powder Springs; and grandchildren, Aaron and Seth Foust, Tate and Brodie Keener and Amelia Ensworth. Nieces and nephews also survive.
