Rosa Jackson
    Rosa Faye Jackson, age 90 of Warner Robins, entered into rest on Dec. 11, 2013.
    Mrs. Jackson was born on Nov. 2, 1923, in Jasper, Ga.  She was retired from Crumpton Shoe Store and was a faithful member of Anchor Baptist Church. 
    Her parents, Thomas and Lemma Qualls; husband, Silas Eugene Jackson; daughter, Penny Jackson; brothers, Franklin and Bowen Qualls; and sister, Jewel Davis, all preceded her in death.
    Her memory will forever be treasured by her devoted son, Randy E. Jackson, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Travis Jackson and Jessica Defebbo, both of Warner Robins, and Bambi Defebbo of Atlanta; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray Qualls and Paul Qualls, both of Jasper; and sister, Olamae Ayers of Cartersville, Ga.
    The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Anchor Baptist Church Building Fund, 112 Crestwood Road, Warner Robins, Ga.  31093.

Sherry Potts
    Sherry Stamper Potts of Jasper, Ga., passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the age of 66, due to complications from a recent surgery. She was at North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell, Ga., at her time of passing.
    Sherry Joyce Stamper was born on Dec. 18, 1946, in Jackson, Ms. She was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Flora Belle “Boots” Stamper. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jason Joseph “J.J.” Payne.
    Her father was in the Navy and they lived in many different places during her childhood, including Hawaii, which she talked about often. She attended Murrah High School in Jackson, Ms., and went on to the Mississippi State College for Women, majoring in Art. As an adult, she was a wonderful mother to three children and a loving “Mimi” to six grandchildren. She was also very active; she was an avid, accomplished ALTA tennis player and she loved to play golf as well. She was a fabulous cook and loved to entertain; she also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and her girlfriends. She had many wonderful friends in their Bent Tree community in Jasper and she also loved spending time at their second home in Cocoa Beach, Fl.
    She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert “Bob” Potts, Jasper; daughter, Tiffany Eppinette, Alpharetta, Ga.; son, Alex Payne, Canton, Ga.; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Melissa Potts, Woodstock, Ga.; and step-son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Lisa Potts, Acworth, Ga. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren: Josh (age 19), Olivia (age 15), Nicholas (age 17), Nicole (age 14), Tyler (age 9) and Abigail (age 4).
    The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Roper Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Snyder Turner  officiating. A reception immediately followed the service.  A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Cheatham Hills Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Hwy., SE, Marietta, Ga.  30064. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Calvary Children’s Home, 1430 Lost Mountain Rd., Powder Springs, Ga.  30127.

Christine Williams
    Mrs. Christine Williams, age 82 of Jasper, passed away at Embracing Hospice in Cumming on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013.
    She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Leigh Williams, Jasper, and Mark and Debbie Williams, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Fenton and Beverly Strickland, Marietta; grandchildren, Lori and David Barett and Lacy Williams; and great-grandchild, Ridge Barett. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Williams; and sisters, Elizabeth Cartledge and Helen Prescott.
    The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Jasper United Methodist Church with the Revs. Chip Wilson, Max Caylor and Gerald Thurman officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Kenton Baggs, Don Boggus, Steve McDaniel and David Barett. Cagle Funeral Home was honored to serve the Williams family.

Amie Moore
    Miss Amie Lyne Moore, age 23 of Jasper, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013.
    She is survived by her parents, Dana and Jay McLauchlin, Jasper; grandparents, Roberta and Jim Watkins; sisters, Amber Wallace and Ashley Rice, both of Jasper; niece, Paisley; and nephews, Landon, Ethan and Leihum. She was preceded in death by her grandparent, Jackie Towns; and special friend, Randy Clark.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Mr. Butch Troglin officiating. A private graveside service followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Eric Wallace, Mike Rice, William Cooper, Zack Geist, Brandon Brown and Carl Geist. The family accepted flowers or donations to Dana McLauchlin to assist with expenses. Cagle Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Amie Lyne Moore.
