Mitchell Bozeman
    Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper announces the death of Mr. Mitchell Bozeman, age 40 of Jasper, who passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at his home.
    He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bozeman, Jasper; children, Jason Harris, Michael Dillan and Nicole English, all of Jasper; grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jasmine Harris, Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Shane Buchanan, Ball Ground; mother-in-law, Winnie Padgett, Jasper; father-in-law, Harold and Carlene Cheek, Marietta; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Natalie Cheek, Jasper, and Sheri and Andrew Clarke, Maui; and half-brother, Benny Sewell, Jasper.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ellijay. The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Mitchell Bozeman Memorial Fund at Renasant Bank. “Remember friends as you pass by as you are now so once was I, as I am now so you must be.  Prepare to live eternally.”

Donnie Crook
    Mr. Donnie Crook, age 60 of Fairmount, passed away at his residence on Wednesday night, Nov. 6, 2013.
    He is survived by his sons, Casey and Jason Crook, both of Fairmount, daughter, Shana Crook, Fairmount; brothers, Charles and Ronnie Crook, both of Fairmount; sister, and Mary Ann Townsend, Fairmount. Five grandchildren also survive.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Cantrell and Ronnie Ray officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Dustin, Timothy and Ricky Young, Jeff, Brian Devin and Lucas Crook and Lonnie Davis. The family accepted flowers but prefer donations be made to Cagle Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses. Cagle Funeral Home was honored to serve the Crook family.

Ronnie Lawson
    In loving memory of Mr. Ronnie Lawson of Jasper, age 63, who peacefully entered into rest at his sons residence on Nov. 6, 2013, after a short illness.
    Mr. Lawson is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Christi Lawson, Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and David Woodall, Wetumpka, Al.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Chic) and Marrianne Lawson, Jasper; five grandchildren, Sierra, Cory, Hannah, Chelsea, Elizabeth; and one great-grandchild, Zaylee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mildred Lawson; and his wife, Jan Burton Lawson.
    The funeral service was Saturday at 11 a.m. on Nov. 9 at Cagle Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Huey Holloway and Mike Mize officiating. Interment  followed at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Pat Childers, Jim Evans, Anthony Yott, Blake McDaniel, Jacob Bryant, Michael Butler and honorary pallbearer was Lee McDaniel. The family requested in lieu of flowers donations be made to Marble Hill Baptist Church. Cagle Funeral Home was honored to serve the Lawson family.

Bill Smith, Sr.
    Mr. William Roy “Bill” Smith, Sr., age 71 of Ryo Community, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at his residence.
    Mr. Smith, better known as “Pops,” served his country in the U.S. Navy. Pops loved his wife, sons, grandchildren and the outdoors more than life itself. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none.
    He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith, Ryo; sons and daughter-in-law, William Roy “Billy” Smith, Jr., Ryo,  and Thomas “Tommy” and Emily Smith, Brookhaven, Ms.; brother  and sister-in-law, Jack and Verna Smith, Naples, Fl.; and grandchildren, Haley, Cameron, Ellijah, Micah, Mary, Elizabeth, Shelby and Phillip. Several other family members and friends also survive.
    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Fairmount Community Center, 11921 Fairmount Hwy. SE, Fairmount, Ga. 30139. The family requests that all friends and family bring any mementos they have of Pops with them to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the caring staff of Roper Funeral Home & Crematory in Jasper.

Betty Eubanks
    Ms. Betty Eubanks, age 75 of Nelson, entered into rest at Heritage Health Care in Jasper on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.
    She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Rickey Eubanks and Mark and Kristy Eubanks, all of Nelson; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ron Matthews, Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Glenda Chapman, Nelson; sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Stokes and Hazel Stokes, both of Macon, Joan Holden, Jasper, and Gail and Jackie Jarrett, Nelson; and grandchildren, Cody, Cory, Anthony, Eben, Madison, Dustin and Katie.
    The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Nelson Baptist Church with the Revs. Leroy Kelley, John Holaway and Steve Chadwick officiating. Interment followed in the Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chris Walker, Scott Jordan, Steve Tippens, A.C. Coleman, Gary Cochran and Wallace Gibson. Victor Crowe
    Mr. Victor Charles Crowe, age 52 of Talking Rock, Ga., departed this life Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.          Victor was born Sept. 5, 1961, in Tate, Ga., a son of the late Loyd R. Crowe, Sr. and Patsy Elrod Bell.
    He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Chesley “Lamar” and Lara Crowe, Talking Rock, Loyd “Randy” and Gina Crowe, Jasper, and Phillip and Amanda Crowe, Glenville N.C.; and sister, Alicia Crowe, Birmingham, Al. He is also survived by nieces, Ella, Tori and Chessley Crowe, as well as nephews, Jacob Crowe and Alex Howard.
    A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Victor Crowe will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.

Charlie Woodall
    Charlie Woodall, age 76 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at his residence.
    Mr. Woodall had 55 years of service at the YMCA off Bells Ferry Road  formerly known as C-S-ta.
    Survivors include his wife,  Opal Mildred Woodall, Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law,  Jeff  and Diane Woodall, Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie (Missy) and Steven Brown, Woodstock; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Brenda Woodall, Ellijay; and grandchildren, Sam, Jessica and Emily Woodall, Talking Rock, and  Devon and Rachael Brown, Woodstock. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
    The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, from the Chapel of South Canton Funeral Home with Robert Ingram and Erik Bullock officiating. Interment followed at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.

Tom Brock
    Tom Brock, age 70 of Talking Rock, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. 
    Mr. Brock had a passion for bluegrass music and he loved to play the dobro. He had the opportunity to play with many fine artists. He also loved the outdoors and gardening and he was the best father that three girls could have.
    He is survived by Amy Brock and their three daughters, Lisa Williams (Jon), Talking Rock, Ga., Rebecca Haag (Billy), San Francisco, Ca., and Mary Beth Brock, Marietta, Ga.; and grandchildren, Melanie Williams and Zachary Williams, both of Talking Rock.  
    A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 3 p.m. at Marietta Funeral Home.

Jeanette Ray
    Mrs. Jeanette D. Ray, age 85 of Talking Rock, entered into rest on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
    She is survived by her husband, Edward Ray, Talking Rock; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Karen Ray, Senoia, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine amd Billy Bishop, Covington; grandchildren, Teresa, Susan, Stephanie and John; and great-grandchildren, Abby, Tyler, Shane and Aubree.
    The funeral service  was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12,  at Talking Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers were: Steve Moraitakis, David, Johnny, Anthony and Alex Ray and Gary Sitten. Cagle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Ray family.
