Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper announces the death of Mr. Ricky Smith, age 53 of Ellijay, who passed away June 5, 2012, at his home.

He is survived by his daughters, Tasha and Crystal Smith; sons, Levi and Charlie Smith; sisters, Pamela Cobb and Brenda LeBlanc, Tate; and brother, Allen Smith.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home.

Loren Parson

Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper announces the death of Mr. Loren Parson, age 50 of the Jerusalem Community, who passed away on June 3, 2012, at Piedmont  Mountainside Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Parson, Jerusalem Community; daughter, Anna Parson, Jerusalem Community; step- son, Frankie Sturgeon, Jerusalem Community; mother, Angela Stokes, Jasper; mother- and father-in-law, William and Ora Lee Ryder, Jasper; half- brother, Ronnie Parson, Villa Rica; sister, Dawn Majors, Rome; half-sister, Paulette Parson, Alaska; and step-sister, Judy Stokes, Massachusetts.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Arbor Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Byess officiating. Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper in charge of the arrangements.

Bill Feeser, Jr.

Roper Funeral Home and Crematory of Jasper announces the death of Mr. William Henry “Bill” Feeser, Jr., age 67 of Jasper, who passed away on May 31, 2012, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Feeser, Jasper.

A Celebration of Life was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Greg Parker officiating.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to either Georgia Mountains Hospice or to a charity of your choice.

Patsy Hightower

Mrs. Patsy Hightower, age 48 of Talking Rock, Ga., passed away at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta on Sunday, June 3, 2012.

Survivors includes her husband, Bo Hightower; sons, James and Timothy Hightower, both of the Ludville Community; step-son, Rodley Hightower, Jerusalem Community; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ronald and Sandra Collins and Terry and Tawanna Collins, all of Calhoun, and Tommy Collins, Gulf Shores, Al.; sister-in-law, Donna Collins; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Johnny Fairbanks, Sonoraville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, June 6, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Interment followed in Mountain Cemetery.  Pallbearers were: Jerry and Terry Collins, Rodger Mulkey, Terry Fountain, Adam McReynolds, Melvin Davis, Chris Fairbanks and JR Hancock.

Carol Anglin

Mrs. Carolyn Anglin, age 71 of Ellijay, Ga., passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Anglin; son, Lamar Anglin; daughters and son-in-law, Charlene and Roger Williams, all of Ellijay, and Nancy and Kevin Lewis, Jasper; brothers, Wayne Brock, Woodstock, Jimmy Brock, Ellijay, and Michael Brock, Acworth; and sisters, Betty Hall and Jane Owens, Cartersville, Inez Brock,  Ellijay, Glenda Hembree  and Patricia Ray, Adairsville.  Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survives.

The funeral service was held Thursday, June 7, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Owens officiating. Interment followed at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were: Alan Duren, Shane, Jesse and Matthew Lewis, Curt Hembree and Kenneth MacBee.

Evelyn Lowe

Mrs. Evelyn Taylor Lowe, age 86 of Jasper, passed away Sunday morning, June 10, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Lowe was born April 24, 1926. She was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon Lowe; and daughter, Alice Hughes.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Decie Lowe and Steve and Belinda Lowe, all of Jasper, Randy and Dianne Lowe, Marietta, and Gary Lowe, Jasper; daughter, Janet Weber, Jasper; brother, Boyd Samuel Taylor, Olive Branch, Ms.; and sister, Kathy Stewart, Kennesaw. Eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Jasper First Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Lewis and Dr. Richard Harris officiating. Interment followed in the Lowe Family Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Roper Funeral Home.
