On Dec. 14 the Pig Pen Family Mud Park off Yellow Creek Road will hold a truck event in the bog. Entry into the park is normally $15 per person (children under 13 admitted free). DALTON, GA - After several months gauging support around the state, conservative Dalton Mayor David Pennington is officially announcing his campaign for Governor today and formally entering the race.
In a video message to his thousands of supporters throughout the state, the conservative mayor announced his decision this morning.

According to sheriff reports, around 5 p.m Nov. 10 a mother at home with her children heard the garage door of their house going up and two people talking and walking around the garage. She took the children and locked them and herself into a bedroom where she had a firearm and called 911.

Four members of the Pickens County FFA Chapter traveled to Louisville, Ky., to take part in the 86th National FFA Convention which ran from Oct. 30 through Nov. 2. This year marked the first time the National Convention has been held in Louisville since 2005 and FFA members from around the U.S. flocked to the site to set a new Convention attendance record of over 60,000 attendees.

For Brumby and 12 other seniors this would be their final game as a PHS Dragon.
The Dragons football season ended last Friday night at the hands of Northwest Whitfield. This was the second meeting between the two teams this year. Pickens traveled to Northwest in week two of the season for their first region cross-over contest. That game was won by the Bruins 25-13.
